At Lübeck Airport, the police and the city ended an illegal vaccination campaign with a large crowd on Saturday. There is a suspicion that the vaccine is not approved and thus constitutes a criminal offense under the Medicines Act, said the Lübeck police department in the evening.
50 people were said to have been vaccinated before the action was stopped by the police and local stewards. When the officers arrived around 3 p.m., 80 people were found in front of the airport building, and more people had streamed towards it.
About 150 people who wanted to be vaccinated were in the check-in hall. According to the information, vaccinations were carried out in an office room prepared for this purpose. There was no air traffic.
The officers secured vaccination samples, used syringes and vaccination lists and recorded the personal details of those present. Further details would not be given at the moment, it said. These would follow in the coming week according to the agreements of the offices and authorities involved.
The airport belongs to the entrepreneur and doctor of medicine Winfried Stöcker, who has developed his own vaccine against the coronavirus. In April 2020, his office had confirmed that he was researching it himself.
