
KTLA5 information anchor Chris Burrous, who was discovered unconscious in a Glendale motel room and pronounced lifeless at a hospital in December, died of methamphetamine toxicity, authorities introduced Friday.
Burrous’ death on Dec. 27 has been dominated unintentional, in line with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Police had been contacted at 1:15 p.m. that day by a caller who stated a man he was with on the Days Inn, 450 Pioneer Drive, had handed out and was presumably not respiratory, in line with Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department.
A dispatcher gave the person directions on the best way to carry out CPR and he was making an attempt to manage emergency assist when firefighters arrived, Suttles stated.
Glendale firefighters discovered Burrous, 43, contained in the motel room, not respiratory, Suttles stated. They administered CPR and he was taken to a hospital, the place he died.
In addition to methamphetamine toxicity, coroner’s officers say different contributing components in Burrous’ dying embody hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular coronary heart illness.
Burrous is survived by his spouse Mai and 9-year-old daughter Isabella.
