Tesla founder Elon Musk has denied reports that issues have gotten so dangerous on the self-driving automotive firm that even toilet paper is being rationed.

“This is complete nonsense,” Musk tweeted below an Electrek Co. article that claimed Tesla’s ‘hardcore’ cost-cutting efforts prolonged to slicing again on workplace provides, together with toilet paper.

The article cited unnamed sources who stated some workers have been even bringing their very own toilet paper to the workplace to cut back their very own overheads.

Electrik’s editor Fred Lambert responded to Musk’s denial, asking whether or not he was speaking in regards to the allegation that “employees are going to that extent or the article?”

“I wish it wasn’t true too, but reliable employee sources are reporting it,” Lambert added. “You can shoot the messenger all you want…”

Musk did announce in an electronic mail final week that the corporate was initiating new cost-cutting efforts that might study all bills together with “parts, salary, travel expenses, and rent.” He stated CFO Zach Kirkhorn would signal each web page of outgoing funds and Musk would evaluate and signal each tenth web page.

The automotive firm suffered a $702 million loss final quarter.
