“Google Fiber” Gigabit Internet and Television System Overview

Long story short, Google is attempting to knock Time Warner off their throne (thank science, right?).

So far they have succeeded wildly in this goal (at least in my neighborhood). I’m part of a beta/pilot program and we’re the first community in the entire world to get Google’s gigabit technology installed in our homes.

If you’re unaware of what exactly this entails, please just visit the Google site, as they do a much better job of explaining it than I ever could.

I’ve had the service since November 1st and I’ve just now been able to sit down and do a bit of a guided tour through the basics of the system. I assume that people are interested in seeing this, so if you actually are, then let me know! I’ll be creating more videos where I can delve deeper into the mysteries of having a gigabit speed internet connection, so send me your ideas, desires and questions. I’m an open book.

For now, here is the first video I’ve cobbled together, which is a general overview of the entire system; Google Fiber gigabit internet and cable television.
