When it comes to how much money the state has available, New York ranks 49 out of 50 states, according to a new report from the U.S. Department of Labor.
The report found nearly half the states across the U.S. may not have enough funds to pay all the unemployment claims.
Here in New York state, people filed 369,000 claims last week. Nationwide, 6.6 million people filed claims.
