    New Inca Trail leading to Machu Picchu Found

    The Regional Director of Culture of Cusco, David Ugarte Vega Centeno, said it was discovered a new section of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, it communicates the archaeological center of Ch “akiqocha with Qantupata.

    The official said the building retains its original features intact in 70% while 30% were damaged by landslides.

    This finding was made in the last days when a group of workers of the institution conducting conservation work in the Inca monument.

    The section begins in Ch discovered “akiqocha, based in North West direction of Machu Picchu, is 4 miles, has channels stormwater drainage, integrated platform and a tunnel eleven feet long with 30 rungs.
