The Hamburg information safety authority, tasked with overseeing Facebook’s operations in Germany, mentioned that the corporate will not be allowed to change usernames to actual names or demand official identification from customers.
The case was taken up after a girl filed a criticism to the Hamburg watchdog, stating that Facebook blocked her account as a result of she used a fake title, demanded her private ID after which proceeded to change the account to her actual title.
