
The Defense Intelligence Agency disclosed this week that it had funded analysis on warp drive, invisibility cloaking, and different areas of fringe or speculative science and engineering as a part of a now-defunct program to observe and establish threats from area.
From 2007 to 2012, the DIA spent $22 million on the exercise, formally referred to as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program. It was apparently initiated on the behest of then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, with a lot of the funding directed to a Nevada constituent of his. Yesterday, the DIA launched a list of 38 research titles funded by this system, lots of that are extremely conjectural and properly past the boundaries of present science, engineering — or army intelligence. One such title, “Traversable Wormholes, Stargates, and Negative Energy,” was ready by Dr. Eric Davis, who has additionally written on “psychic teleportation.”
The DIA record of analysis papers, marked for Official Use Only, was beforehand supplied to Congress in January 2018. It was publicly released yesterday underneath the Freedom of Information Act.
