Some Chicago families might start gathering a $1,000 examine each month with no strings hooked up. That’s the brand new proposal from a process drive created by Mayor Emanuel.
The concept is to interrupt the cycle of poverty. The pilot program would give 1,000 struggling Chicagoans $1,000 a month.
Supporters say individuals might use the additional money to cowl surprising emergencies, improve their financial savings and enhance their well being.
The cash would come from a mixture of metropolis funds and charity.
