Another girl has accused former vice-president Joe Biden of undesirable touching, simply days after former Nevada lieutenant governor nominee Lucy Flores wrote on the Cut that he inappropriately kissed her head at a 2014 occasion. Speaking with the Hartford Courant on Monday, Amy Lappos mentioned that Biden inappropriately touched and rubbed noses together with her throughout a 2009 political fundraiser.
Lappos, now 43, instructed the Courant that the incident occurred in October 2009 throughout a Greenwich, Connecticut, fundraiser for U.S. consultant Jim Himes. Lappos was working on the time as a congressional aide for Himes (who she says was not within the room when the incident occurred), and was volunteering on the occasion. “It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head,” Lappos instructed the Courant. “He put his hand round my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I believed he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”
Lappos, who’s now a contract nonprofit company employee, additional instructed the Courant:“I by no means filed a grievance, to be sincere, as a result of he was the vice president. I used to be a no one. There’s completely a line of decency. There’s a line of respect. Crossing that line isn’t grandfatherly. It’s not cultural. It’s not affection. It’s sexism or misogyny.”
The Courant notes that Lappos initially made the allegation on Sunday within the Connecticut Women in Politics Facebook web page, beneath the pseudonym Alice Paul, the title of a suffragette. Her publish got here two days after Flores revealed an essay for the Cut, wherein she said that Biden put his arms on her shoulders, inhaled her hair, and planted a “big slow kiss on the back” of her head at a marketing campaign rally.
