
As 1000’s put together for 3 days of debauched leisure on the Bonnaroo music festival, native authorities are investigating two energetic pipe bombs found near the occasion grounds.
The first gadget was found Wednesday morning in a drainage ditch about 5 miles away from Great Stage Park, the venue for Bonnaroo, the Manchester Times reported. The second was found quickly after, about 30 meters away from the first.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a name in regards to the bombs, in keeping with the Chief Investigator for the Manchester Police Department Jackie Matheny, who mentioned officers “arrived and made the explosive devices safe.”
he festival’s organizers maintained the incident was solely unrelated to the occasion, and warranted concert-goers that security was a precedence.
“As always, we remain in contact with local law enforcement throughout the festival and have a broad range of safety procedures in place, including car searches, CCTV cameras, mounted patrol, metal detectors and canine patrols,” the organizers informed the Tennessean.
