The killer carried out a sequence of rapes and murders that shocked South Korea within the 1980s and early 1990s, when a minimum of 10 girls between the ages of 14 and 71 have been raped and murdered in Hwaseong, a metropolis southwest of the capital Seoul.

Officials mentioned on Wednesday that the prime suspect was identified after the state forensic company found that DNA collected from two of the victims matched along with his.

The Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency mentioned it’s going to reveal extra details about the killer, whose title has not but been launched, at a press convention on Thursday.

Unfortunately for the sufferer’s households, the killer can’t be prosecuted for the grisly murders as the statute of limitations for the crimes has elapsed.
