    Google Trends Results: Americans are More Interested in Twinkies than Israel and Gaza

    It’s always a little bit funny and a little bit sad to see the news stories that Americans are most interested in.

    Sadly, it seems that many Americans are more drawn to stories about entertainment, sports or the various consumer products that they use to escape from reality.

    This week there has been an escalation of violence in the Middle East, and regardless of where you stand on the issue, you must admit that this is one of the most important things going on in the world this week.

    People are dying, human lives are at risk, while activists in all of the conflicting geographical locations are all protesting and calling for peace.

    Yet, while all this is taking place Americans seem more interested in the demise of one of their favorite junk food snacks, the Twinkie and its parent company Hostess.
