New Orleans TV anchor Nancy Parker dies in plane crash while reporting a story

A longtime reporter is among the victims recognized in a deadly plane crash in New Orleans East.

According to WVUE, Nancy Parker was taking pictures a story in a stunt plane Friday when the plane went down about half a mile south of New Orleans Lakefront Airport.

The pilot was additionally killed in the crash.

Authorities stated that at round three p.m., the 1983 Pitts S-2B plane was making ready to land when it crashed in an open area.

“Orleans Parish 911 acquired a name of a potential airplane crash, off the south finish of Lakefront Airport,” stated Collin Arnold, director of the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.

Parker, 53, was a journalist for WVUE FOX eight for 23 years. She is survived by her husband and three youngsters.

The NTSB is investigating the reason for the crash.
