New Zealand police have stated that any person that is in possession of the Christchurch massacre video(s) could face up to 10 years in prison. They have also posted numerous reminders that sharing the horrific video is actually an NZ offense.
If you see this video, report it immediately. Do not download it. Do not share it. If you are found to have a copy of the video or to have shared it, you face fines & potential imprisonment.
NZ Police are referring to the Objectionable Material which anyone found “knowingly” in possession of objectionable material can receive a maximum of 10 years imprisonment. A corporation could also be fined up to $200,000 for hosting/allowing such material to be shared in New Zealand.
If this doesn’t sound tyrannical, then I can’t help you. This should not be a jailed offense for sharing this material in NZ but many are claiming they mean the entire world, but that cannot be possible… Sorry New Zealand..
