College athlete violates NCAA rules by washing her car on campus

k-bigpicPortland University basketball Coach Eric Reveno couldn’t believe it when he heard it at West Coast Conference meetings Wednesday: A women’s golfer for a WCC school was hit with an NCAA violation for washing her car on campus.

Apparently, the problem was that the unidentified golfer was penalized because the water and hose used wasn’t available to regular students on campus.

According to Yahoo Sports, the NCAA asked the golfer to pay the school $20, which they said was the value of the water and the hose.

It is such a relief to know the NCAA is on top of these things. Here’s guessing they are now going around checking the air pressure in athletes’ tires, making sure it is at the proper PSI and that there is no unauthorized air being used.
